Based on a recommendation to try LaTapatia in Wilmington, NC we had lunch there this past week. The food was excellent, the service was exceptional and the patio dining area was so welcoming and nice. Will definitely make this our go to restaurant whenever we visit the Wilmington area.

Taco Tuesday the real way!!! I am always looking for real street tacos. These are right there with authentic!! Awesome salsa bar, fantastic margaritas Walk up to the counter, order what you want, fix your salsa preferences, sit, and here comes your food! Fast friendly service and man, it's good!!! Clean nice dining area!!! I LOVE LA TAPATIA!!!!

Ok so let's start from the very beginning. Walking in here and you get that delicious smell hitting you in the face. Now that's out of the way, the service is friendly and quick their salsa bar isn't very diverse but there's two options mellow green salsa tomatillo based and a hot red salsa. Both very good. Their lunch specials and the quantity of food is so worth it! 10/10 recommend this place for a quick bite or a sit down visit because the art is wonderful.

Loved this place, authentic and tasty! Unique decor, friendly staff, variety of menu options available m. Yummy margaritas! Guacamole was amazing, hot fresh chips and great salsa bar!

Great spot especially for the price! Really enjoyed the ACP and the Carne asada/Chorizo taco. Would highly recommend if you’re looking to grab a quick bite. Their sauces are also pretty good too!

amazing everything. Tamarind margs, salsa bar, torta, Al pastor. Epic. 10/10 would return The art of the Mexican QSR has gone downhill since Chipotle made it so gringo accessible. This place is not frequented by so many gringos. They deliver high quality food for affordable prices.

Fresh, Flavorful, and Worth the Visit La Tapatia Taqueria delivers some of the best handcrafted Mexican food in town. The ingredients are fresh, the flavors are well-balanced, and the taco special is especially good. Everything tastes thoughtfully prepared, not just thrown together. Service is friendly and efficient, and the place is clean and well-kept. The margaritas are also excellent—when I asked for one that wasn’t too sweet, they made it exactly how I wanted. If you’re looking for quality Mexican food with great service, this is the spot.
